Today we’re excited to introduce you to our newest Senior Account Manager, Diana! Diana, like many of us, is a Seattle Native. She grew up in Green Lake, attended Western Washington University where she received her bachelor’s degree, then went on to get her master’s in urban planning at the University of Washington. Between then and now, adventure has led her to live in San Francisco, Portland, and Phoenix as an AmeriCorps Member. Diana is now living in Washington with her family on a quaint little farm with a bunch of animals to look after, when she is not too busy killin it here at TVA. Read on to learn a bit more about Diana!

What made you want to work at TVA?

I’d worked with Marcela, Amalia and Mafe and always thought they were bad asses. TVA’s values of centering all the work on social/racial/environmental justice aligns with my values. It’s not a compromise, it’s at the foundation of everything we do. Also, the range of clients TVA has makes every day interesting. There’s always something new to learn.

What would be the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery?

I would identify the organizations that I would like to donate to and once I did that, I’d pay off any debts my extended family may have.

What is an essential part of your daily routine?

Farm chores, feed the chickens, let the livestock guarding dog out, make sure everything is all good for the day.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

Figuring out a way to be outside like a hike or a walk and then snuggling up with a book. Oh and a trip to Target.

How many pets do you have on your farm and what are their names?

I have 19 chickens: Dragon Fruit, Blueberry, Pumpkin, Cucumber, Hawk, Pom Pom, Rocky aka Rockstar, Rosie, Milton aka Milly, Princess, Quail, Honey, Butterscotch, Carmel, Midnight, Nightmare, Banshee, Phantom, and Bizzle.

An inside dog Juan, our livestock guarding dog Loki, my sister’s dog Boo, and our cat Nala.

So, in total… 23!

What is your go to sandwich?

A Bahn Mi with tofu and REAL mayonnaise not the vegan stuff
